Getting a trucking business fully operational is a joint effort — here's the high-level path we walk with you after the agreement is fully executed, from company setup and owner training to freight moving on the road.

Setup, Compliance & Training
Days 0–39Company setup and teaching you the operation — not paperwork alone. We work alongside you to form the company, get your EIN, and secure FMCSA operating authority (USDOT/MC), plus the insurance and registrations required to operate legally. You can start under your own authority, lease onto an established carrier while yours matures, or use both. In the same window you sit through multiple one-on-one courses on how to run a trucking company.

Drivers & Systems
Days 40–59We stand up the people and the tools the trucks need before they roll — recruiting and vetting drivers, then ELDs, cameras, and the systems you will run the company on.

Initial Operations
Days 60–180Your trucks start moving — running freight through OTR Consulting's established broker and lane relationships. This is also when you learn the owner's daily job, not only that freight is moving.
